Safety at Sea • March 28 & 29, 2026

At the Maritime Institute of Technology & Graduate Studies (MITAGS), adjacent BWI Airport, near Baltimore, Maryland. 

Join us for an intensive program that meets the requirements for hands-on training for the International Offshore Safety at Sea Certificate. Prerequisites apply, read below for more details. We offer two identical US Sailing Sanctioned Certificate Courses on each of day:

International Offshore Hands-on Only Training (Saturday, March 28). Only SIX slots remain.

International Offshore Hands-on Only Training (Sunday, March 29). If you prefer smaller groups this is the class for you. 

These one-day courses are the hands-on training portion for an International Offshore Safety at Sea certificate. Prior to the start you will need to:
A) Complete an Offshore Safety at Sea course within the last year (such as MTAM’s one-day course at the Naval Academy on March 28, 2025).
-OR-
B) Complete the online Offshore Safety course (units 1-15) available through US Sailing. For details CLICK HERE.

Check-in for all courses begins at approximately 7:30 at the Maritime Institute of Technology & Graduate Studies, located at 692 Maritime Boulevard, Linthicum Heights, MD 21090. The facility has a hotel on-site with reasonable prices that includes breakfast and dinner, as well as complimentary transportation to BWI airport and rail station.
