Work Responsibilities

As a Boat Rigging Technician, you’ll add the power/engine to a boat hull and confirm the new engine is ready for the water. This process is extremely important to ensure new boat buyers receive a boat that is safe and reliable. You may also add other buyer-specified elements to a new boat before delivery.

On the Job Training

The Marine Trades Industry Partnership is a paid, on-the-job training program for young workers starting their career. The ideal candidate is 18 to 24 with a strong desire to succeed and work around boats and water. Candidates will gain confidence from learning their trade, security from knowing their skill cannot be outsourced, and motivation from excellent pay and upward mobility.
