Work Responsibilities

Install, maintain, and repair mechanical systems on vessels as a Marine Engines Mechanic. You’ll work on engine sets, steering systems, pumps and the mechanical side of marine generators. In order to advance your career as an engine mechanic, you’ll complete manufacturer specific training to become certified on a variety of engines.

On the Job Training

The Marine Trades Industry Partnership is a paid, on-the-job training program for young workers starting their career. The ideal candidate is 18 to 24 with a strong desire to succeed and work around boats and water. Candidates will gain confidence from learning their trade, security from knowing their skill cannot be outsourced, and motivation from excellent pay and upward mobility.
