Ferry Point Marina is growing, and we’re looking for a skilled Marine Mechanic to join our team!
We are looking for a dependable, motivated Marine Mechanic who takes pride in quality workmanship and enjoys working around boats. This is an opportunity to become part of a growing team with a busy marina and a variety of marine service work.
What You’ll Do
- Diagnose, service, and repair gas and diesel marine engines
- Work on outboards, inboards, stern drives, pod systems, and generators
- Repair and service drivelines, running gear, and steering systems
- Repair plumbing, freshwater, raw-water, bilge, and sanitation systems
- Diagnose basic marine electrical issues
- Perform routine maintenance, winterization, and spring commissioning
- Troubleshoot mechanical and vessel system problems
- Perform sea trials and operational testing as needed
- Clearly communicate needed repairs, parts, and additional work found during service
- Maintain a clean and safe work area
What we’re looking For
- Previous marine mechanical/service experience
- Strong mechanical ability
- Familiarity with multiple manufacturers and marine systems
- Able to work independently and as part of a team
- Manufacturer certifications are a plus, but not required
- Driver’s license
