Experienced Yacht Sales Professional – Maryland
Pocket Yacht Company
Pocket Yacht Company is seeking an experienced, high-performing Sales Professional to join our Maryland team.
This is not an entry-level sales position. We are looking for a proven closer who can independently manage a pipeline, build long-term customer relationships, and confidently guide clients through a major purchase experience from first inquiry through delivery.
Our Maryland location is seeking a dependable lead salesperson — that individual should be professional, organized, driven, and capable of producing consistent results in a fast-paced dealership environment.
Responsibilities
- Manage and respond to incoming sales leads daily via phone, email, text, and walk-ins
- Build relationships with customers and guide them through the full purchase process
- Maintain detailed CRM activity, follow-ups, and deal management
- Coordinate closely with management, service, finance, and delivery teams
- Participate in boat show and event sales activities as needed
- Maintain strong product knowledge on Ranger Tugs, Cutwater, and related systems
- Consistently follow through on all customer communication and commitments
- Develop and manage brokerage and pre-owned boat sales opportunities in addition to new boat inventory
Qualifications
- Minimum 3+ years of proven sales experience in:
- Boat/Yacht sales
- RV sales
- Automotive/F&I
- Major unit or luxury product sales
- Demonstrated ability to close high-value transactions
- Strong CRM and follow-up discipline
- Excellent communication and relationship-building skills
- Self-motivated and comfortable working independently
- Willingness to work weekends and travel for shows/events
- Boating experience and product knowledge strongly preferred
Compensation & Benefits
- Competitive base salary plus commission
- Expected first-year earnings: $90,000–$150,000+
