Job Description
VETUS Maxwell, Inc., a leading supplier of innovative marine product solutions throughout North and South America, is looking for an Inside Customer Service & Technical Support person with prior marine technical experience to join the VETUS Maxwell Team in the Hanover, MD office. This person will work directly with customers, sales managers, engineers and customer service on technical marine mechanical, electrical and hydraulic projects.
VETUS Maxwell, Inc., based in Hanover, MD, manufactures and distributes a wide range of marine products, including bow thrusters, hatches, windows, ventilation products, and exhaust components, as well as a full range of windlasses and anchoring solutions.
The successful candidate will
- Work directly with customers, sales managers, engineers, and customer service.
- Provide technical support via phone and/or email to clients concerning the installation, use, operation, and maintenance of marine equipment.
- Provide support to sales managers, engineers, and manufacturer’s representatives with customer requests.
- Problem solve and use time effectively to multitask and prioritize work.
- Gain customer trust by being a company product champion.
- Help process customer orders as needed in the ERP system and coordinate with the warehouse.
REQUIREMENTS
- Minimum of five years of experience in marine mechanical, electrical and hydraulic systems
- Strong understanding of the marine industry
- Excellent communications skills, both written or verbal
- Proficiency in MS Office applications
- Boating experience (preferred)
