On-the-Job Training Practicum: Customer Service: Ship Store and Paddleboard Rentals

Duration: Six weeks
Typical work week: Candidate is expected to work 40 hours with varying hours and schedule. Weekend work should be expected, as it’s the busiest time of the year.

Position Description and/or Responsibilities: The internship will be broken into two main areas of the marina, the ship store and the paddleboard rental business. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to: assisting customers, organizing store shelves, helping with inventory control, learning the retail POS system, coordinating with all aspects of paddleboard rentals – assisting customers, booking calendar, maintaining inventory, marketing, social media, etc. Outside of these two main areas of focus, the candidate will also be assisting with boatyard maintenance.

Hourly Rate: $10
Hours of Operation:
Monday – Friday 9 am – 6 pm
Saturday 10 am – 6 pm
Sunday 10 am – 4 pm
